About the Role:
We’re looking for a talented Data Visualization Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Power BI and a passion for turning data into clear, impactful insights. You’ll design intuitive dashboards, apply visualization best practices, and build user-friendly reports that help teams make smarter decisions. Experience with tools like Tableau or QlikView is a bonus. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys creating meaningful visual stories from complex data.
What You’ll Do:
Dashboard & Report Development
Design, develop, and deploy interactive dashboards and reports primarily using Power BI.
Translate business requirements into technical specifications and effective data visualizations.
Optimize dashboard performance and ensure accuracy, consistency, and usability of data.
Implement best practices for layout, color usage, interactivity, and overall visual design.
Create measures and KPIs using DAX to support analytical needs.
Implement row-level security (RLS) and data governance policies.
Data Preparation & Integration
Work with data engineers and analysts to connect, model, and transform data for reporting needs.
Develop data models and ETL processes using Power Query, SQL, and dataflows
Develop Power BI data models and manage datasets, measures, and calculated columns.
Ensure proper data refresh schedules, access permissions, and publishing workflows.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
Partner with business analysts and functional teams to understand reporting requirements.
Present insights and visualization outputs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Collaborate with IT and analytics teams to maintain data governance and security standards.
Continuous Improvement
Stay up-to-date with the latest features and capabilities in Power BI and other visualization tools.
Proactively recommend enhancements to existing dashboards to improve usability and impact.
Support migration, standardization, and documentation of visualization assets across projects.
On Your First Day, We’ll Expect You to Have:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent technical discipline.
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience building dashboards in Power BI.
Proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M), and data modelling.
Proficiency in SQL
Experience building star schema data models and optimizing them for analytics
Familiarity with Integration of Power BI with various data sources such as SQL Server/ Azure Synapse, Cloud DW/ Databricks, Excel, SharePoint, and APIs etc.
Working knowledge of Tableau, QlikView, or other visualization tools is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Azure Data Platform (Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake).
Knowledge of Python, R, or other analytics scripting languages.
Familiarity with version control (Git) and DevOps CI/CD for Power BI.
Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate or related certification.
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
Keen eye for detail and aesthetics with a focus on usability and intuitive design.
Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies or processes.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
