About the role:

We are seeking a highly experienced and driven Tax Functional Consultant who are responsible for managing and supports global tax technology solutions using Vertex and Oracle Cloud Fusion Tax. They ensure indirect tax compliance, leads end-to-end implementations, troubleshoots critical issues, and works with business and vendor teams on tax integrations, including M&A support.

What You’ll Do:

• Partners with business stakeholders to analyze, define and document business processes within and across cross functional areas

• Works with Business Groups to define their global technology roadmaps. Manages projects from inception to completion with matrix, global teams

• Strong technical and analytical skills on problem solving and suggest solutions

• Experience with Vertex tax engine and integrations with other applications/Billing platform.

• Participate in project throughout their lifecycle to ensure that the requirements are met – to include making tax rules configurations, reviewing test cases, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring alignment across teams.

• Working knowledge of indirect taxes – including US sales taxes, EU value-added taxes and other global transaction taxes

• Understands business environment and helps to connect/align relevant business stakeholders for complex Tax requirements.

• Develop as-is and to-be process flows to support the design and development of solutions

• Partners with Vertex, Oracle & E-Invoicing Vendors for Tax compliance

• Conduct System Integration Testing, work collaboratively with team members support business during UAT

• Leads troubleshooting efforts on critical issues with cross functional teams through resolution

• Works with functional leadership teams to set expectations and conduct planning and execution of SME training activities
