As a Software Engineer, you will be a key contributor to the stability and performance of our critical production systems. Your responsibilities will include providing timely support and performing application development across our core technology stack, including C# .NET, and VB.NET. You will also directly manage and troubleshoot applications that interface with on-site manufacturing units. This role requires a focus on practical problem-solving, meticulous change control, and clear communication with on-site stakeholders to ensure seamless operations. You will also be responsible for maintaining and improving Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
What You’ll Do:

· Perform approved data fixes and validations in Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) under established change-control and safety procedures.
· Reproduce issues, analyze logs/telemetry, identify likely root causes, and propose durable fixes.
· Update Confluence pages with Standard Work procedures, FAQs, and checklists as processes evolve.
Application Development (50%)
o Implement features and bug fixes in C# .NET and VB.NET.
o Contribute to machine-interfacing modules (device I/O, services, desktop apps) following on-site safety and release protocols.
o Write unit/integration tests, participate in code reviews, and improve diagnostics/observability.
o Build small utilities to streamline common data-fix or operational workflows.
On your first day, we’ll expect you to have:

· Working knowledge of Jira (ticket workflows, SLAs, dashboards) and Confluence (editing/organizing pages).
· Able to analyze the existing code and systems.
· Familiarity with Git, Windows applications/services, and basic troubleshooting on Windows.
· Ability to work on-site in lab/production environments and follow safety/change-control procedures.
· Clear written and verbal communication with operations and engineering stakeholders.
We'd be super excited if you have:
· Exposure to VB6.
· Experience with hardware/machine interfaces (serial/USB/TCP, drivers, instrument control) or industrial/lab settings.
· Scripting for automation (PowerShell/Python) and basic networking.
· Familiarity with CI/CD and monitoring/logging tools.
